i had a good christmas but i dont want to be in this country.
last night i got to hang out with some korean kids and it only made me miss all the asians i had befriended.
yep. ive decided. im gonna move to japan. not sure when exactly. brandon is going to help me out with finding a job. i think i found my place! |

so i cant spell that correctly but it totally means good morning in japanese.
i made it to japan successfully with my brain feeling that it shrunk to nothingness.
we got up at 3am to head out to nrofolk for a 6am flight after only getting an hour or two of sleep the night before. we waited in the airport for about two and a half hours because our plan was late and such and such.i passed out before the plane even took off. it felt nice. we got to chicago and a woman at the food court told me i could never go to her house because i didnt eat pork. well suck it lady. when i got on to the japanese plan i thought my heart would explode from japanese joy! it was like going to an amuement park but one in the sky and one that was eternal and filled with....soy???i dont know. it was fun though.
12 hours later...
not so fun.
i survived though.we got to japan and everyone was very polite. i dug on that. it was surprisingly very easy to get into this country. the finger scanning freaked me out a bit but ya knoooowwww.
brandon picked us up and we spent a couple more hours traveling to his home in aodabi.
everything here looks like it does in the movies. i love it. there are hills and rooms with sliding doors. exciting yes yes yes.
after showering and coming back to life we met up with a boy named go-san for food! i ate noodles that i probably shouldnt have eaten but i will say that this morning that is all i want to eat.
i slept on the floor last night.awesome.
today we are going to the big part of the city. thats all i have to say. |

im leaving at 6am tomorrow for JAPAN.
ouch ouch ouch it hurts my heart so much to think about it.
im not really looking forward to the plane ride...the hours and hours...sheesh.
im going to try and blog this trip. i didnt while in italy and i regret not having written anything down about what i was seeing because honestly i have forgotten a lot of details.

i saw "lars and the real girl" finally last night. it was hands down one of the best movies i saw all year.
a lonely guy. a doll. good sountrack.
ryan gosling is an incredible actor and never should have touched "the notebook"...i mean why didnt i discover that a while ago! increddiibbbllleeeeeeee.
love love loved it.
it isnt playing at the naro anymore but someday you can rent it. |

theres another flyer but this was the first one copied.
im pretty excited to be playing with my dad again. we jammed a bit last night and it was awesome.
the ukulele and the guitar together will be a beautiful sound that you all shouldnt miss out on.
the gimlets in our bellies as well should not be missed...
i learned the cat stevens secrets that have been kicking my but for years.
his guitar playing is amazing but its not that tricky no more for me!
japan can not come sooner honestly.
im already thinking of my next adventure hah!
i really want to see the grand canyon.
really.
but man jaaaappaaaan. its taking too long to get there. sheesh.

it is e.t. and elliot on the bike. you know the scene. only there is no moon on my leg.

i think im going to see darjeeling limited tonight at macarthur at 7:10 if anyone is interested.
im going to richmond tomorrow by bus. yes. by bus. it should be an adventure. i dont have much experience traveling on greyhounds around but i figure if i can ride on trains filled with gypsies or in cars with strangers in another country i can handle a richmond bus ride.
joie will be picking me up and we are attending stevie j's birthday party that night. im staying till monday and i have no clue what i am going to do with all that time but i will find something im sure.
r2d2 is out. the costume wasnt working out and with no partner it just wasnt going to be the same.
sad
news.
happy thoughts though : im planning on being wonder woman. because im awesome. im also being pressured by everyone around me to wear that costume. i am no amazon.
ahhhhhhh im running behind for work this morning
but it is all alright because today i get to wear jeans
any work day where im allowed to wear jeans is automatically a brighter day.
i also plan on wearing a sweater.
its wet and cold.

yesterday was wine fest
meaning lara and i drank from 11-6
from 7-9 we danced to helter skelter and happiness is a warm gun
over
and over
and over
then passed out
i woke up today with every muscle in my body hurting
from dancing

i read "blankets" last night. i hadnt read it in a long time. it felt good.
there are so many place i want to visit.
jess said we could go see whales in the summer up in newfoundland.
if i saw a real humpback whale i could die a happy lady.

i had an eventful weekend. friday i went and saw across the universe. i liked it.yes. after that i ended up going to granby theater where i drank heavily,danced way too much,and made crazy eyes at the american idol guy from hooters. it was quite the night.
saturday i slept the entire day until around 7:30 when jess came to me. we bought japanese beer,mexican beer,hummus,and sushi. we took that to esptep's where we watched "castle in the sky". i love mr. miyazaki so.
we came home and slept and almost froze. i woke her up to music and dancing.
so today we went and watched the 3d dinosaur show at the imax theater in the aquarium. it made me really want to go to new mexico. after that we traveled to lynnhaven and i ate tofu pockets mmmmmm. then we watched across the universe. round two for me. just as enjoyable id say. i just like when i know the words to things.
we came home after miles of traffic.
i cooked us butternut squash ravioli covered in cranberries,sage,butter,and pecans. it looked like something out of "fern gully" but definitely tasted like pumpkin pie.
we didnt eat too much of it.
then we tried to purchase tickets to japan. apparently our banks hate us and said not todaaaay.
we will try
tomorrow.
now i sit here and wait for "heroes" to begin.
